Erik ten Hag eyes top European job – but it’s not available right away

Thanks to only losing three games, though, Juventus are only one point off fourth-place Bologna, and six behind third-place Atalanta. Between 20112 and 2020, the Italian giants claimed nine successive league titles but have failed to win a Scudetto since. A Juventus statement read: “The club thanks Thiago Motta and all his staff for the professionalism shown and for the work carried out in these months with passion and dedication. Despite a turbulent time at Manchester United the Dutchman won the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup last season, beating Manchester City to stop their rivals from claiming the double.  Prior to his arrival in Manchester he collected several trophies at Dutch giants Ajax. He landed three league titles, two Dutch cups, and a Dutch Super Cup, as well as a stunning Champions League semi-final run in 2018/19, which saw them beat Real Madrid. However Italian reports have said Roberto Mancini, current Al Nassr boss Stefano Pioli, and Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini are all being considered for the permanent Juventus job.
