Diablo 4's Battle Pass Overhaul Isn't Going Over Well
Diablo 4 Season 8 is now live, and players have some complaints about the game's newly revamped battle pass, ranging from far fewer rewards to how it offers less premium currency.In addition to overhauling Diablo 4's endgame bosses for Season 8, Blizzard additionally reworked the game's battle pass system into a new one called The Reliquary. In the new system, certain types of rewards (like weapons or mount-related items) are each broken out into their own, separate Reliquary reward track, and players don't have to unlock rewards in order.Individual Reliquaries vary in price but cost less than the game's old 90-tier battle pass, though they can all be bought together for the same $10 price as previous battle passes. Rewards can also be chosen in any order by spending tokens, rather than having to grind through potentially dozens of levels for a player to reach a particular reward that interests them.
