Dead & Company playing Golden Gate Park this summer
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie revealed that the shows, which celebrate the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary, will happen on August 1-3.

Following what they said was their final tour in 2023, Grateful Dead offshoot Dead & Company (Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann joined by John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti, and Oteil Burbridge) did a Las Vegas Sphere residency in 2024, and they’ve kept it going this year to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie has now revealed that they’ll celebrate another anniversary, 60 years of the Grateful Dead, in his city this summer, when they play three shows at Golden Gate Park on August 1-3.
“We have some really big news,” Lurie said in a video posted on social media. “Dead & Co., three shows, August 1st, 2nd and 3rd, right here in the city that is the home of the Grateful Dead. What better way to celebrate? We’ll see you out here in August.”
More details about the shows and tickets are still to come; stay tuned.
Dead & Company have three more Sphere dates scheduled, on May 15, 16, and 17. They previously said this run would be their only Sphere shows of 2025.
