His movies, extending to his groundbreaking body horror thrillers and meditative crime dramas, are only distinctive because of their tight-knit relationship to his soul. The Shrouds is Cronenberg's recently released drama about grief, and connects to the dead, as well as the omnipresence of digital technology.
