Chris Eubank Jr warned to avoid Conor Benn rematch unless one condition is met: ‘Legs didn’t work’
Chris Eubank Jr’s ex-trainer Adam Booth insists he must remove a rehydration clause if he fights Conor Benn again. But Booth, Eubank Jr’s former trainer, expressed his desire to see the terms. He told talkSPORT.com in an exclusive chat: “It has to be on the radar. “I’d like to see it again, but not unless there is no rehydration clause. “He has to do it without the rehydration clause.” Booth then expanded on the weight issues on the latest episode of talkBOXING. He continued: “One of the guys [Eubank Jr] was inhibited at fight time That is something that needs to be discussed much more. “The reason he decided to turn it into a bit of a war is because he couldn’t box anymore. He was not throwing punches with any power or snap. “Benn showed balls, but Eubank Jr couldn’t force his size advantage on him. “Conor will be second time around, but it depends on the same terms. The restriction of the rehydration clause is the main thing. “If you effect someone’s body to not be healthy in a combat sport, I have a problem with that.” Eubank Jr faced serious health concern, and managed to get through the fight unscathed. But he was severely dehydrated and bruised from the gruelling ordeal, which saw him admitted to hospital for two days before being released. But his father Eubank Sr doesn’t want to see his son put through the same risks again. He said: “We were in the ambulance, the sirens, the horns are beeping, chaos. “He suffered mostly in the hospital because of dehydration even though the beating was severe and that’s why he was in such discomfort for 24, 30 hours. “I don’t want my son to have to go through that again.
