Playing in his first rehab game since undergoing knee surgery last year, Roanald Acuna Jr. launched a home run in his third at-bat on Tuesday. He made his return with the Braves’ Florida Complex League team.

Playing in his first rehab game since undergoing knee surgery last year, the Atlanta Braves superstar launched a home run in his third at-bat on Tuesday with Atlanta’s Florida Complex League team.
It has nearly been a full calendar year since Acuna Jr. has stepped on the diamond. The outfielder tore his ACL on May 26, and had surgery on June 6.
It’s a welcome sight for baseball fans, who have grown accustomed to Acuna Jr.’s blasts. The 27-year-old launched 43 home runs just two seasons ago en route to winning the National League MVP.

Acuna Jr. is expected to return to the majors by the end of May. A position player can’t be on a rehab stint for more than 20 days.
