Both the BMW M4 GT3 EVO and Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R have been hit with weight increases ahead of the first GT World Challenge America race of the weekend at Sebring International Raceway.
Released on Saturday afternoon by the SRO GT Bureau, the BMW, which set the quickest lap in qualifying courtesy of Robby Foley, has been given a 10 kg increase in its minimum weight.
Additionally, the Corvette gets 5 kgs of additional weight as well, after topping the time charts on Friday with DXDT Racing’s Matt Bell.
Three GT3 models, meanwhile, have been given BoP breaks ahead of this afternoon’s race, most notably the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, which gets a 15 kg weight decrease.
Both the Porsche 911 GT3 R and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, meanwhile, have 5 kg weight breaks, with the Aston also getting an increase in boost pressures at the low-to-mid RPM levels.
BoP changes have also been made to the cars competing in Pirelli GT4 America as well, with the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo hit the hardest with a 20 kg increase in minimum weight.
The non-Evo version of the Vantage GT4 remains unchanged.
An adjustment has also been handed out to the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, which gets 10 kg of additional weight.
