‘Big, bold, beautiful’ – TIM Delhi Airport Advertising unleashes ‘revolutionary’ platform at new-look Terminal 1

INDIA. TIM Delhi Airport Advertising (TIMDAA) says the 15 April opening of Indira Gandhi International Airport’s (Delhi Airport) new-look domestic Terminal 1 represents a “revolutionary” advancement in airport advertising media infrastructure.

TIMDAA manages the complete advertising media portfolio at what has now become India’s highest footfall domestic terminal with T3 ranking second (Delhi Airport’s T3 international passengers traffic continues to rank as the nation’s highest).

“Big, bold and beautiful installations.” TIM Delhi Airport Advertising  aims to create memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression on high-value travellers

The T1 reopening follows it being shut nine months ago after a canopy collapse due to heavy rains. The terminal connects travellers from over 70 key cities daily, offering marketers unprecedented access to a pan-India, premium and captive audience through high-impact campaigns displayed on world-class media platforms, TIMDAA said.

“The new T1 introduces a revolutionary integration of digital and static media, meticulously designed to enhance passenger experience and brand storytelling,” the company said. “Big, bold and beautiful, these installations represent the first of their kind in India – immersive, high-impact, and engineered to captivate with cutting-edge technology.”

A standout feature is the deployment of a world-class digital media network constructed with 100% active-LED digital video-walls for a bezel-free, seamless viewing experience. These installations deliver pixel-level precision and exceptional clarity, designed to ensure every advertising campaign creates a lasting impression.

Passengers make their way within the revamped Terminal 1, which can accommodate 40 million passengers a year

Key media installations in the new-look T1

Magnum Arcade Network: This media corridor features six giant bezel-free video walls, each measuring 20 feet × 10 feet. Strategically positioned in the boarding gates’ highest dwell-time zone, this network delivers cinematic exposure to all departing passengers at T1’s aerobridge area — creating an unparalleled opportunity for brand visibility, TIMDAA said.

Digital totems network: A powerful array of 100 units of 4K-compatible digital screens, strategically installed throughout arrivals and departures. Each of these 75-inch displays stands 7.5 feet tall and features a sleek, curved design for enhanced aesthetics and superior visibility. These totems create high-frequency brand recall as passengers navigate the terminal.

Icon video-wall: A striking L-shaped large-format video wall spanning an impressive 40 feet × 10 feet, making it one of the most visually distinctive digital installations at the terminal. Positioned strategically to engage 100% of travellers at departures, this dynamic format delivers high-impact brand storytelling. Powered by bezel-free active LED technology, it offers a seamless and vibrant visual experience, ideal for showcasing brand campaigns with unmatched clarity and scale.

Signature dropdowns: Located near the boarding gates, these double-sided back-lit static banners each measuring 35 feet × 10 feet are positioned in high dwell-time areas. Their impressive dimensions and strategic placement ensure maximum visibility and brand dominance.

Additional T1 opportunities include comprehensive branding across 22 aerobridges, allowing advertisers to extend campaign narratives seamlessly from terminal to aircraft.

TIMDAA Delhi Airport CEO Munish Kanotra commented: “The new Terminal 1 exemplifies our commitment to innovation and excellence. We’re excited to introduce a media environment that is not only visually stunning but also technologically advanced, establishing a new benchmark for airports across India.

“Our goal is to create unique and memorable experiences through world-class media, where marketing campaigns leave a lasting impression on high-value travellers. We believe the big, bold and beautiful installations at the new T1 will accomplish exactly that.”

Samsung India Vice President, Enterprise Business Puneet Sethi added, “At Samsung, we believe in innovation that drives excellence and shared progress. Our partnership with Delhi Airport and TIMDAA at the new Terminal 1 brings cutting-edge display technology to life, creating meaningful brand experiences for millions of passengers every day.” ✈
