Barcelona have triumphed in a Clasico for the ages, holding off Real Madrid to secure a win that effectively secures the Spanish title.

Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick was not enough as goals from Eric Garcia, Lamine Yamal and a brace from Raphinha saw the Catalan giants fight back to rescue another famous win over their arch-rivals.

After heartbreak in the Champions League this week, Barcelona are now seven points clear at the top of La Liga with just three games of the season remaining.

Mbappe put the hosts to the sword early on, scoring twice inside the opening 15 minutes for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Eric Garcia pulled one back before Lamine Yamal produced another sensational strike, curling one home to level a crazy contest.

Raphinha completed the comeback in the first-half, scoring twice in 10 minutes to give the hosts the lead after a breathless first 45 minutes of football.

Real created a host of chances to close the gap in the second period with Mbappe finally sealing his hat-trick with 20 minutes of the match remaining.

The France international raced through again in injury time but was denied an equaliser when his tame effort was pushed away by Thibaut Courtois.

Real did have the ball in the back of the net moments later but Mbappe was clearly stood offside before flicking the ball home.
