Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘To Catch a Thief’ Celebrates 70th Anniversary with SteelBook 4K UHD

Alfred Hitchcock‘s To Catch a Thief will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a limited edition SteelBook 4K Ultra HD + Digital release on July 29 from Paramount.

The 1955 romantic suspense thriller is presented in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.

Hitchcock directs from a script by frequent collaborator John Michael Hayes (Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much), based on David Dodge‘s 1952 novel of the same name.

Reformed jewel thief John Robie (Grant) is suspected of a new rash of gem thefts in the luxury hotels of the French Riviera, and he must set out to clear himself. Meeting pampered heiress Frances (Kelly), he sees a chance to bait the mysterious thief with her mother’s (Landis) fabulous jewels. His plan backfires, but Frances, who believes him guilty, proves her love by helping him escape.

To Catch a Thief earned Robert Burks the Academy Award for Best Cinematography.
