Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, The Undoing) has signed on to star in the survival thriller Play Dead, Deadline reports.
Production begins next month in Melbourne, Australia with Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, The Shallows) in the director’s chair.
No plot details have emerged for the script, written by Peter Stanley-Warda and Natalie Conway, but it’s been described as “Don’t Breathe meets 1917.”
Nocturnal will fully finance and produce alongside Ghost House Pictures, BoulderLight Pictures, and Bad Grey.
Akiva Nemetsky and Keaton Heinrichs are producing for Nocturnal, along with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert for Ghost House, JD Lifshitz and Raphael Margules for BoulderLight, and Dane Eckerle for Bad Grey.
Collet-Serra is also on tapped to helm Netflix’s psychological thriller An Innocent Girl.
