Since Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the rare show that proved to be just about every genre at once, it’s only natural that a handful of its episodes leaned into horror. If anything, it’s surprising that there weren’t many truly scary episodes, since supernatural threats are near-constant for the titular character and her friends, but the show did like to gently parody or deconstruct horror tropes.
