World Snooker Championship 2025 results, scores and schedule for Day 6
Round two begins.
The first round of the World Snooker Championship comes to an end on Thursday, with the last 16 beginning at the Crucible.
We have seen some big names tumble out in Sheffield already, with the likes of Kyren Wilson, Neil Robertson and Barry Hawkins all beaten early.
There have been some very impressive performances from underdogs and favourites so far, with Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and Shaun Murphy all looking very strong.
Debutant Lei Peifan has thoroughly impressed on his first appearance, while Chris Wakelin was delighted with picking up his first win at the Crucible.
The first round matches are best-of-19, with the round of 16 extending to three sessions and a best-of-25.
One standout tie in the last 16 is a clash between world number one Judd Trump and Masters champion Shaun Murphy, which could easily be a final here or in any tournament.
