The moment took place at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival – which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary – on Friday (March 28) towards the end of Afrojack’s headlining set.
Afrojack began to play a snippet of Guetta’s ‘Sexy Bitch’, hinting to the crowd that he was about to appear on stage. He then surprised the crowd by walking out, before being joined by Sia shortly after, who was wearing one of her signature wigs and giant bows to cover her face.
Upon its release in 2011, the track was only credited to Guetta and Sia, as Afrojack declined to receive a credit – which he later revealed he regretted. Guetta has frequently made Afrojack’s contribution clear, saying the DJ helped him to clear a creative roadblock that led to the song’s creation.
Though ‘Titanium’ was a huge hit in 2011, the trio had never performed it live prior to this, due to Sia’s struggle with stage fright. Check out the moment below.
Sia also stayed on stage to perform ‘Beautiful People’, her new single with Guetta. “I’m so happy to be back working with Sia again!” Guetta said about the track at its time of release. “She’s one of the greatest voices and songwriters of our generation, and it feels like we’ve had this special connection ever since we wrote ‘Titanium’ back in 2011.”
Sia released her 10th and latest studio album, ‘Reasonable Woman’, last May – marking her first full-length effort in eight years. The record contained collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Chaka Khan, Paris Hilton and more.
She wrote the record alongside producers Jesse Shatkin (Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus) and Greg Kurstin (Adele, Kendrick Lamar), and included the singles ‘Gimme Love’, ‘Dance Alone’ with Kylie and ‘Incredible’ with Labrinth.
Sia’s 2022 single ‘Unstoppable’, meanwhile, has been included in the 2025 edition of the game Just Dance, along with countless other contemporary pop classics.
In other news, earlier this month it was revealed that she had welcomed a third child named Somersault with her estranged husband last year.
