Wall Racing has committed to a larger schedule in this year’s GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS campaign with its eye-catching Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, including next month’s Phillip Island opener.
The Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Silver Cup class-winning team is set to make more regular appearances in the series this year after making a one-off outing at The Bend last year, with Adrian Deitz and Tony D’Alberto sharing driving duties.
Deitz and D’Alberto were joined by Grant Denyer and Brendon Leitch last month at Bathurst, the No. 93 car finishing ninth overall.
While the exact schedule for Wall Racing remains unclear, Deitz and D’Alberto will be on the grid when the new season commences at Phillip Island on April 4-6.
“We won our class at the car’s debut event at the Bathurst 12 Hour and the plan was to roll into a season of GT World Challenge Australia, but unfortunately my business commitments prevented me from doing this,” said Deitz.
“This year, we successfully defended the Silver Cup at the Bathurst 12 Hour, which was a tremendous achievement to go back-to-back and now we’re very much looking forward to racing GT World Challenge Australia.
“The Lamborghini has only raced at Bathurst and The Bend, so we’re excited to see how it performs at the other tracks on the calendar.”
Team owner David Wall added: “To race such a unique car and be back for multiple rounds of the GT World Challenge Australia season in 2025 is exciting.
“It’s a category we love and one where I’ve personally had some success during my early career, but from a business point of view we’ve raced on and off for years.
“It’s back growing and there’s a lot of cool cars competing, so we really want to be a part of it. It’s great that Adrian and Tony are getting it all back together to compete.
“Having Brendon [Leitch] race with us at the Bathurst 12 Hour brought with it support and help through his links with Lamborghini.
“It’s been a definite move forward with everything, but the more we run it will continue to enhance the Huracan GT3 EVO2’s development.”
