The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reapingwill take audiences back to the world of Panem for a very special occasion, and the latest installment in the blockbuster franchise will start filming in July, according to Deadline. This means that the movie will be right on track for its scheduled November 20, 2026 release date. The film will introduce Joseph Zada as a younger version of Haymitch Abernathy, the character that was portrayed by Woody Harrelsonin the original film adaptation of the books. A couple of years after Panem returned to the big screen with The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Sunrise on the Reaping will depict a time period in the history of the fictional dystopia that has never been seen before.
