The confirmation that there will be a John Wick Chapter 5 undoes the bold choice to kill off the titular character in the fourth film.
The announcement of John Wick Chapter 5 was met with some celebration but also a bit of head-scratching. Surely it cannot take place after John Wick: Chapter 4; The man died... right? It would appear that this isn't the case, as there is seemingly nowhere else to fit a sequel in between films. Therefore, John Wick's (Keanu Reeves) death will surely have to be retconned, meaning that the previous ending will become a lie. There may be a small chance that they maintain the character's demise, though it still feels rather rushed considering we are only two years removed from Chapter 4.
