TechSport Racing will return to Toyota GR Cup North America competition with a four-driver lineup, with Christian Weir, Ayden Kirk and Ethan Goulart joined by Max Schweid in the team’s GR86 Cup entries.
Goulart, a fourth-generation racer, started racing go-karts at the age of 4 and made his GR Cup debut last year at Virginia International Raceway, securing a top-five result.
Kirk, who returns to the team for another season, claimed numerous top 15 finishes during his 2024 campaign, while Weir is set for his first full season campaign after contesting two weekends last year.
Schweid, an 18-year-old Asian American rising talent, meanwhile, graduates to GR Cup competition from the Spec Miata ranks.
“We won the inaugural team championship in 2023 and took second last year,” said team owner Kevin Anderson. “My goal is to return to the top and secure that trophy.”
In addition to its four-car GR Cup effort, TechSport will run a McLaren in the new McLaren Trophy America series, also under the SRO America umbrella, as well as three cars in the IMSA-sanctioned Mustang Challenge series.
The GR Cup season kicks off at Sonoma Raceway in late March.
