Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore begin their journey back to Earth

After 286 days in space, NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams bid farewell before departing from the International Space Station early Tuesday morning, beginning their journey back to planet Earth. The pair's 10-day test flight turned into an unexpected 9-month stay after their faulty Boeing Starliner capsule was deemed to risky to carry them home. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.
