Steve Albini’s stuff (LPs, books, posters, more) being sold online to benefit his estate
Steve Albini’s Closet has books, LPs, CDs, posters, t-shirts, flyers, zines, posters/flyers, “mysterious bargains,” and more from Albini’s collection.
The late Steve Albini was not just a recording engineer, musician, poker play and many other things, he was a collector of stuff and much of that is now being sold off with proceeds going to the Albini Estate. It’s all done via Steve Albini’s Closet where you can by books, LPs, CDs, posters, t-shirts, flyers, zines, posters/flyers, “mysterious bargains,” and more from his collection.
Here’s more from the site: “Steve pursued many fields of interest, and most of them are represented somewhere in his collections. All items purchased are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the collection’s administrator, Byron Coley, and the proceeds are directed towards Steve’s estate. All materials are guaranteed authentic, and listings are updated on a weekly basis.”
Currently available are mostly CDs and vinyl, including records by The Dead C, Urge Overkill, Didjits, Jon Spencer, Union Carbide Productions, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Cows, Couch Flambeau, Elvis Costello, Chrome, Can, Buzzcocks, Blurt, Big Boys, and lots more. Check it out here.
