‘Sinners’ Joins Legendary Horror Box Office List in Just 10 Days
Starring Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Googler’s Sinners has already become one of the highest grossing horror movies in domestic box office history.
With a slighter second weekend drop than that of Jordan Peele’s Get Out in 2017, director Ryan Coogler’s Sinners topped the domestic box office charts once again. The movie blazed past expectations in its debut weekend, earning $48 million on the back of massive acclaim. It’s estimated to have grossed $45 million in its sophomore frame, registering an almost unthinkably strong second weekend hold, especially for the post-pandemic era. This takes Sinners’ running domestic total to around $122 million. At this rate, a final tally of around $250 million is on the cards for the acclaimed vampire-horror. It's now among the 20 highest-grossing horror movies in domestic box office history.
