Sainteloc Racing’s Gilles Magnus set the fastest time across two days of running at the official Prologue for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.
The Belgian, piloting the No. 25 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, set a fastest time of 2:16.223 during the first of four sessions on Tuesday morning, with that lap remaining the benchmark for the remainder of on-track running.
Magnus shared the Bronze Cup-entered car at the Prologue with Benjamin Ricci and Paul Evrard, with a fourth co-driver for next month’s edition of the 24H Spa yet to be confirmed.
Dean MacDonald went second quickest overall and fastest in Gold Cup in the No. 58 Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, with the Scot’s best effort just 0.006 seconds behind Magnus.
Steven Palette went quickest in the fourth and final session aboard the Pro-Am entered No. 28 HAAS RT, with the Frenchman’s effort of 2:16.291 third fastest overall across the two days.
Thomas Fleming was fourth in the No. 188 Garage 59 McLaren, followed by the No. 26 Sainteloc Audi and No. 222 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in fifth and sixth, respectively.
Fabian Schiller was the fastest Pro runner in seventh overall aboard the No. 17 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed machine, followed by a Nordique Racing-entered example for former Lamborghini Super Trofeo racer Edoardo Liberati and the No. 81 Winward Racing car piloted by Marvin Dienst.
The overall top ten across the four days was completed by the No. 5 Optimum Motorsport McLaren driven by Mikey Porter, which the Brit is set to share at the Ardennes endurance classic with Largim Ali, LMP2 stalwart James Allen and team regular Ollie Millroy.
Running across the two days was interrupted by a number of red flags, the most significant one occurring when the No. 15 BMW Italia Ceccato Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO crashed at Raidillon on Tuesday afternoon.
