Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood”), Temuera Morrison (“The Book of Boba Fett”), and Tom Burlinson (Flesh+Blood) are attached to star in the post-apocalyptic horror film Dead Howling.
Deadline reports that Kaleidoscope Film Distribution has acquired world sales rights and will present the film at this week’s Cannes Market. Rialto has already picked up the film for Australia and New Zealand.
Production is set to begin in Australia this July with John V. Soto (The Gateway) directing and Tom Reeve (Dog Soldiers) producing.
A lone werewolf fighting for survival in world overrun by zombies, Carter takes vengeance for his murdered family by spending his days hunting down the living dead for sport. He finds new purpose after saving the lives of two humans seeking a rumored sanctuary for survivors.
Despite Carter now joining them on their journey as a powerful ally, the group faces new and unimaginable danger when they discover that their undead enemy is beginning to evolve.
