Ruben Amorim reveals why he doesn’t want to sign Viktor Gyokeres this summer
Gyokeres is also wanted by Arsenal and Liverpool.

Ruben Amorim appears to have ruled out an attempt to sign Viktor Gykoeres for Manchester United this summer.
The Sweden international is one of the most sought-after centre forwards in European football and is expected to leave Sporting Lisbon at the end of the current season.
There is no shortage of suitors with Arsenal and Liverpool among the clubs interested in bringing him to the Premier League.
United’s hopes of signing the 26-year-old have dwindled during a woeful Premier League campaign that has left them in 14th place with just four games of the campaign remaining.
Former Sporting boss Amorim has been keen to be reunited with his former striker who has scored 52 goals in 48 appearances this season.

But the Swede’s desire to play Champions League football means there are other sides likely to be ahead of them with latest reports suggesting Gyokeres favours a move to Arsenal.
United are still fighting in the Europa League and can secure Champions League qualification by lifting the trophy in Bilbao later this month.
But Amorim has insisted he does not want to sign players fixated solely on the the allure of playing in Europe’s premier competition.
‘Gyokeres deal? I didn’t talk to him,’ Amorim told Sport TV Portugal ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg clash against Ahletic Bilbao.
‘But if a player only wants to come to Man United to play Champions League, then he won’t come.
‘We want players who want to represent United, not players who want to play certain competitions.
United’s problems up front have been well-documented this season with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee scoring just seven goals between them in the Premier League – with only one team outside the bottom three scoring less than them.
With Gyokeres looking unlikely, Ipswich star Liam Delap has emerged as Amorim’s preferred target up top.
The former Manchester City star has 12 goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the Tractor Boys this term and will be available for just £30million this summer following Ipswich’s relegation back to the Championship.
