‘Revenge of the Sith’ Just Became One of the 50 Biggest Movies Ever Thanks to Re-Release

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith recently returned to theaters to celebrate its 20th anniversary, and the film pulled in record numbers. After grossing $25 million at the domestic box office this weekend to help lift its domestic total to $405 million, Revenge of the Sith is now one of the 50 highest-grossing movies ever in the U.S. This $405 million total — previously $380 million before the re-release — lands it at #47 on the list pushing it ahead of other blockbusters like Spider-Man: Far From Home and also The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The film has also collected $485 million in international markets to help its global total reach $891 million. It will only be in theaters for a few more days.
