Report: Falcons release two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Grady Jarrett

A top defensive lineman is now available.

The Atlanta Falcons reportedly released two-time Pro Bowler Grady Jarrett on Monday, per NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

The move comes just before the NFL’s legal tampering period for free agency begins at noon ET, and saves the Falcons $16.25 million in cap space. Atlanta began Monday with the third least cap space in the NFL at nearly $5 million over the limit, per Over The Cap.

Jarrett has spent his entire 10-year career with the Falcons and has totalled 36.5 sacks. The 31-year-old was a fifth-round pick in the 2015 draft.

He started all 17 games in 2024, registering 2.5 sacks and was the team’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
