American rising star Colin Queen will make the switch to sports car racing this year, having signed with ANSA Motorsports for the upcoming Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season.

The 20-year-old, who built a solid foundation in European single-seater racing, will team up with recent named Lamborghini Super Trofeo junior driver Enzo Geraci in one of ANSA’s Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2s.

“Transitioning to GT racing is an exciting new chapter for me, and my goal is to adapt as quickly as possible heading into the first race weekend,” said Queen. “Coming from single-seaters, I know that success in sports car racing requires mastering new skills and I’m excited to apply my experience and adapt quickly.

“With a teammate, success in this series is about working together to maximize every session—from qualifying to race strategy.

“Our goal is to consistently fight at the front, and that starts with strong teamwork and execution.

“Beyond that, I want to push myself to adapt at a high level, especially when it comes to learning the unique flow of American circuits, which are completely different from the European tracks I’ve spent the last four years on. It’s a big challenge, but I thrive on that.”

Queen recently completed a two-day test at Sebring International Raceway to help come to grips with the 600-plus horsepower machine that he will contest in the Pro class.

“The team dynamic at ANSA has been incredible—there’s a real sense of trust and excitement, and I’m confident we can achieve great things together this season,” he said.

“One of the most rewarding aspects was how quickly I adapted to the Lamborghini and found speed. I’ve worked hard to be a driver who can jump into new challenges and find speed fast and consistently, and this test was proof of that. Now, it’s about fine-tuning every detail and building towards a strong debut race in Sebring this month.”

He added: “Driving such a prestigious brand in my first year of GT racing is an honor. Lamborghini has an incredible racing heritage, and being part of that legacy is something I don’t take lightly. I can’t wait to push this car to its full potential and see what we can achieve this season.

“Switching to GT racing isn’t just a new challenge—it’s a step toward a bigger vision. My goal and passion has always been to build a long and successful career in endurance racing, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo is the perfect place to prove myself in a team setting.

“Unlike single-seaters, success in this championship isn’t just about individual performance—it’s about teamwork, communication, and executing a full race strategy together. My teammate and I will push each other every weekend, making sure we extract the most from the car and maximize every opportunity.

“I’m also excited to be racing in America again after four years in Europe. It’s a fresh challenge learning these circuits, but I thrive on adapting quickly.

“At the end of the day, racing isn’t just about speed—it’s about resilience, grit, consistency, and the ability to work as a team to push beyond limits. That’s exactly what we intend to do this season.”

The Super Trofeo season kicks off next weekend at Sebring International Raceway, in support of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
