As the PlayStation Vita becomes lost in time like tears in the rain, some of its games have been rereleased on modern platforms. The latest will be the 2012 action RPG Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny, which is getting a remaster in the coming months. Although this is the first time the game will be brought to the West, it will not be available on any PlayStation platform despite its exclusivity to the dead handheld.
PS Vita exclusive Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered not on PlayStation platforms
Simply titled Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered, the former PS Vita exclusive will release for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 22. Like many remasters, this one will bring the 10-plus-year-old title to the modern era with enhanced visuals, redesigned UI, new game mechanics, and English localization for the first time.
Additionally, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered will feature several quality-of-life features to make the game a bit more accessible. This includes improved tuning, mission selection, and a lock-on mode. Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of the upgraded cult classic.
“As a soldier in volatile times, players must choose from one of the three factions– Earth Alliance, Z.A.F.T or Archangel to fight alongside in various story missions based on the series’ iconic moments such as Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny as well as side stories including Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73: STARGAZER and more,” reads the game’s description With over 100 different mobile suits to choose from, players can tune their mechs to engage in thrilling, action-packed Gundam battles.”
For the PlayStation gamers that also have a Nintendo Switch or gaming PC, Preorders are currently available for the PC version with Switch preorders opening at a later date.
