Portishead’s Beth Gibbons adds new shows to North American tour

Portishead‘s Beth Gibbons is going on a North American tour for her fantastic 2024 solo debut, Lives Outgrown, this spring, and she’s added a couple of new shows to the run. They happen in San Francisco (April 15 at the Warfield) and Los Angeles (April 17 at The Orpheum Theatre). San Francisco tickets go on sale this Friday (2/14) at 10 AM PT, and Los Angeles tickets go on sale next Friday (2/21) at 12 PM PT.

This will be Gibbons’ first solo tour on this side of the pond (she toured with Rustin Man in 2003), and it happens around her festival sets at Coachella and Big Ears, including shows in NYC (Beacon Theatre on April 1), Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and more. Bill Ryder-Jones, who released another of our favorite albums of 2024, Iechyd Da, opens all headlining shows, and it’ll be his first North American outing under his own name as well.
