Performance Motors Malaysia, a new BMW dealership group formed by Sime Motors and Ingress Corp

Sime Motors and Ingress Corporation have announced a joint venture to operate and manage two BMW dealerships and one MINI outlet under a newly established company called Performance Motors Malaysia (PMM). The three locations are BMW Damansara (Sg Penchala), BMW Bandar Puteri Puchong and MINI Bangsar, and all were operated by Ingress.

“We welcome this exciting joint venture between Sime Motors and Ingress, which further cements the strong foundation and customer affinity of our BMW and MINI brands here in Malaysia. The establishment of PMM demonstrates the commitment of our dealer network to continuously innovate and provide the highest standards of service and accessibility for our customers,” said Benjamin Nagel, MD of BMW Group Malaysia.

“We believe this partnership will create more opportunities to deliver the Premium Ownership Experience that defines the BMW and MINI brands, while further strengthening our presence in key locations across the country,” he added.

“The locations of Mutiara Damansara, Puchong and Bangsar offers significant potential as an established premium automotive hub where Ingress has built a strong presence. By combining our resources and expertise, we aim to maximise these strengths and opportunities in Malaysia’s growing premium automotive market to deliver world-class services to BMW and MINI owners,” said Jeffrey Gan, MD of Southeast Asia, Sime Motors.

It was not mentioned in the press release, but Sime Motors is the owner of top BMW dealership group Auto Bavaria. If the name Performance Motors sounds familiar to you, that’s because it’s the distributor for BMW in Singapore and a BMW dealer in Indonesia; both are also owned by Sime Motors.
