New Photos: “The Old Guard 2”

Netflix has released a bunch of photos from “The Old Guard 2,” the sequel to 2020’s action-fantasy film about a group of immortal warriors.

In the new film, Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team return to protect humanity from a formidable new enemy who threatens their existence. The stakes are raised now that Andy has lost her immortality.

Also back are KiKi Layne as Nile, Matthias Schoenaerts as Booker, Veronica Ngo as Quynh, Marwan Kenzari as Joe, Luca Marinelli as Nicky and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Copley.

New for the sequel are actors Uma Thurman and Henry Golding with the latter playing a new member of the team.

Victoria Mahoney directs from a screenplay written by Greg Rucka and Sarah L. Walker, based on Rucka and Leandro Fernandez’s comic of the same name.

The first film’s director Gina Prince-Bythewood returns as producer alongside Theron, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Marc Evans, Beth Kono, and A.J. Dix.

“The Old Guard 2” is slated to hit the streamer on July 2nd.
