John Cena was showered with explicit chants as he took to the ring in front of a hostile WWE crowd in Scotland. The 16-time world champion, who recently turned heel, opened Monday Night Raw as the Road to WrestleMania continued. Cena was met with a hostile reaction as he appeared in a WWE ring in GlasgowX: @WWE Last week, Cena was booed out of the building in Belgium as he made his first appearance since attacking Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, but the fans in Glasgow turned up the heat to another level this time around. With a microphone in hand, the former face of the company attempted to explain his recent actions once again, but as soon as he opened his mouth, he was drowned out by the crowd. Loud chants of ‘f*** you, Cena!’ and ‘shut the f*** up’ were heard on the Netflix stream, as WWE struggled to mute the bad language. Unsurprisingly, the wrestler himself played up to the reaction, turning the chants back on the crowd as he cut another brilliant heel promo. “You make this so easy. While you were chanting profanity at the top of your lungs, I’ve been paying attention,” Cena said, hitting back. “I’ve been learning from you, quizzing you, studying you, testing you, prodding you, rewarding you for playing along with your stupid, childish, curse-ridden nursery rhymes. “And in doing so, you have told me every single thing about you. “You know nothing about me. I know more about you, than you. And the truth is, your life is sad. Because this is the best it’s gonna get. “This is all you have. But to me, you have been nothing more than an experiment. You have been rats in a cage.” After playing off the crowd reaction, Cena then took things to another level, insisting he will ‘ruin wrestling’ before retiring for good. It’s not clear if the two stars will get physical inside the ring in the coming weeks, with Cena scheduled for an appearance on Raw in London ahead of the main event match at WrestleMania in April. The 16-time champion, though, is doing great heel work on the mic alone, and could well make fans wait to see him in action next month.
