"I'm all in for this!" The post Netflix shares first trailer for ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ ahead of summer 2025 release: “Best news of the decade” appeared first on NME.

Netflix has released the trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, and fans of the Adam Sandler comedy have reacted warmly.
The movie is a long-awaited sequel to 1996 hit Happy Gilmore, a breakthrough role for the star who plays a failed ice hockey player discovers a talent for golf and competes in tournaments to help stop the foreclosure of his mother’s house.
In the new trailer, we pick up nearly 30 years later with Happy (Sandler) looking at busts of great golfers, only to see his own with an unflattering likeness. The clip then promises the story of him coming back to the golf scene after years ago, trying to find his “happy place” again.

Joining the original actors will be Bad Bunny as Happy’s caddy, Benny Safdie in an undisclosed role, and Eminem in a cameo appearance.
The first film has a large fanbase, and as such the arrival of the sequel’s trailer has been met with enthusiasm on X (formerly Twitter). “Yes!!!! Best news of the week, year, maybe decade?!?!” said one, with another asserting: “Adam knows what his fans want”.
