Josh Herrin led the first practice session for Supersport machines at Daytona International Raceway on Friday morning. Herrin on the Celtic Racing Ducati Panigale V2 was the only rider in the 1:49 bracket, his 1:49.633 more than a second quicker than the time turned by Richie Escalante on the Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750. Richard Cooper on the PHR Performance Triumph 765 was third.
