Recent Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison won’t be visiting the “Star Wars” galaxy despite recent rumors suggesting as such.
Variety reports that the “Anora” star was indeed offered a role in “Deadpool & Wolverine” filmmaker Shawn Levy’s new untitled “Star Wars” film, as had previously been reported.
However the trade says talks have ended with the actress passing on the part. Ryan Gosling is the only confirmed name for the film so far.
Screenwriter Jonathan Tropper (“This Is Where I Leave You,” “The Adam Project”) is writing the screenplay while Levy directs and produces alongside Kathleen Kennedy.
At last report, the film is a standalone project not connected to the greater Skywalker saga but also set after events of 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
The project is expected to the next “Star Wars” film to follow “The Mandalorian & Grogu” which debuts in cinemas on May 22nd 2026.
