Maple Leafs’ Jake McCabe and David Kampf suffer injuries vs. Panthers

Defenceman Jake McCabe and David Kampf were forced to leave at different points in the game after suffering injuries.
The Leafs announced that Kampf would not return because of an upper-body injury.
Late in the game, McCabe was hit into the boards with just under two minutes left in the game. McCabe did not play the final 1:10 of the game as he was trying to help the Leafs hold on to a 3-2 lead.
Head coach Craig Berube did not have an update on McCabe or Kampf while talking to reporters after the game.
How Kampf suffered the injury was not immediately clear, but the forward did not join the team for the final frame.
The 30-year-old has recorded five goals and 13 points in 58 games, missing 12 games earlier this season due to a lower-body injury.
McCabe has two goals and 23 points in 66 games this season while averaging a career-high 21:31 of ice time.
