Good Shepherd Entertainment and Violet Saint close out April on a high note with their dark fantasy hack-and-slash adventure Moroi, which is out now on Steam. Inspired by Romanian folklore, heavy metal and the profound works of David Lynch, Moroi also has its customary launch trailer to get you in the mood for the surreal horrors ahead.

Styled as grimdark fantasy, Moroi sees players trapped in the Cosmic Engine, a beast of forever-stretching corridors, rusted gears, and rotting flesh. Your name, your sins, your past, all vacant in your memory. You must claw your way through this realm of torment and greet the grotesque inhabitants whose gallows humour is the only silver lining.

Fight your way out of a living, twisting labyrinth. Hone your skills as you take on dynamic combat encounters. Meet the Cosmic Engine’s most disturbing and grotesque inhabitants, all with unique and nonsensical personalities, who are just as likely to aid in your quest as they are to deceive you.

Once your body is soaked in blood from combat, the Cosmic Engine confronts your mind with stomach-churning puzzles. Drink blood to open a door, vomit it up to reveal a new path, or dig through the insides of some poor soul to earn your passage. Every answer is a sacrifice, every solution a wound.
