'Landman’ Season 2 Will Return Sooner Than You Think

Get ready to saddle up again — Paramount has officially announced that Landman Season 2 will premiere in November 2025, right on schedule with the show's first season. The news came directly from Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount Global, during the company’s Q1 2025 earnings call, where he laid out premiere plans for several of Taylor Sheridan’s buzziest titles. Season 1 of Landman, which starred Billy Bob Thornton as crisis manager Tommy Norris and Ali Larter as his demented wife Angela, premiered in mid-November 2024 and ran weekly through January 2025. Season 2 looks set to follow that same release pattern. While Jon Hamm won’t be returning (for reasons clear to anyone who saw the finale), Sam Elliott is joining the cast — a fitting addition for a gritty West Texas oil drama rooted in power, money, and consequence. And quite a bit of mumbling and grunting too.
