Lamine Yamal mocks Real Madrid with Cristiano Ronaldo celebration as Barcelona make insane comeback

Lamine Yamal has channeled one of El Clasico’s great celebrations during one of its greatest ever fixtures. The 17-year-old Barcelona sensation scored the equaliser against Real Madrid in a first-half for the ages at Montjuic, with the hosts 2-0 down to a Kylian Mbappe double after 15 minutes. Lamine pulled out the RonaldoGetty Eric Garcia pulled one back in the 19th and then Lamine reset the balance in the 32nd and told supporters to calm down. Jogging over to the corner flag, he whipped out a celebration that became iconic when Cristiano Ronaldo first did it for Real in 2012 in the same fixture. And much like Ronaldo on that occasion, he’s so far proved to be right, with Raphinha scoring two more before the break for an astonishing 4-2 half-time lead. In Ronaldo’s time, it was Madrid returning to Camp Nou after their 5-0 hammering the season before and seeing a late Alexis Sanchez equaliser to make the game 1-1. Ronaldo then sealed the three points, settling the tie and pulling out on of a number of iconic celebrations. Jose Mourinho‘s Madrid beat Pep Guardiola‘s Barca to the LaLiga title that season, and it looks like Lamine will similarly be on the winning team this time around. A win would put Barca seven clear at the top of the table with three to play, and even a miraculous Madrid comeback would still leave the side from the capital a point behind. But should Hansi Flick’s side see things out, it would be the perfect response to their midweek disappointment. Having already won the Copa del Rey, also against Madrid, Barca were on for an historic treble. Yet they came out on the wrong end of one of the Champions League’s greatest ever ties – a 13-goal contest with Inter Milan. Ronaldo first did the celebration in 2012Getty After a 3-3 first leg Inter won the second 4-3 in extra time at San Siro. But any thoughts that Madrid would be facing a wounded animal were swept aside by half-time. Defeat would also be the ultimate humiliation for the departing Carlo Ancelotti. Despite UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup wins in the season, they’d be almost certain to end the season without one of the three major trophies. Defeat would also mark their fourth to Barca in a single season, a new record.
