Kylian Mbappe scores hat-trick to eliminate Man City from the Champions League
Man City were incredibly poor.

Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid beat Manchester City 3-1 on Wednesday to dump the English side out of the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s men went into the play-off second leg at the Bernabeu needing a miracle after losing 3-2 in the first meeting between the sides.
But French superstar striker Mbappe was on fire as he scored three times against a City side who were incredibly poor despite a late consolation.
Guardiola decided to name Erling Haaland on the bench and his team fell behind after just four minutes as Mbappe fired past Ederson following a defensive error from Ruben Dias.
Things went from bad to worse for City with John Stones forced off with injury after less than 10 minutes played and Mbappe grabbed his second after around half-an-hour to leave City firmly on the ropes over in Spain.
Mbappe completed his hat-trick just after the hour mark – in what was arguably his best performance in a Real Madrid shirt to date – with Nico Gonzalez scoring City’s only goal on the night with just seconds remaining.
The result means Real Madrid have progressed to the Champions League last 16 with a 6-3 victory on aggregate. Here’s how the second leg unfolded…
