J Dilla ‘Donuts’ action figure announced

Super7 are paying tribute to hip hop production great J Dilla with a new action figure. His classic 2006 album Donuts is the inspiration for the new ReAction Figure, which features a 3.75″ articulated figure of the producer, dressed in the striped shirt and hat from that album’s cover, and it comes with a synthesizer accessory. Meanwhile, Detroit celebrated Dilla’s legacy on the 19th anniversary of his death in February by renaming a street in his honor. The corner of Nevada and Charest is now officially “J Dilla Street,” and has a new sign with his name. “This is long overdue for my father,” his daughter Ja’Mya Yancey told Fox 2 Detroit. “He left it up to us his family to continue to make sure that his genius was not left behind or forgotten about. And that’s exactly what we are doing, have been doing, and will continue to do.”
