International Beverage drives engagement at European airports with spring campaign

EUROPE. Premium spirits company International Beverage has partnered with Avolta and Lagardère Travel Retail to launch a series of activations at key European airports.

The campaign highlights its best-selling single malt Scotch whiskies Old Pulteney and Balblair, along with Scottish gin Caorunn.

Brand displays bring Old Pulteney’s maritime story to life with coastal imagery and deep-blue hues, transporting travellers to the rugged northern shores of Wick, Scotland

Running throughout this month, the installations are described as the company’s most high-profile activations in the channel.

Among the highlights is Old Pulteney’s travel retail-exclusive range, showcased at London Heathrow Terminal 2 in April and now being highlighted at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport throughout May.

The collection features the 10, 13 and 16 Year Old expressions, with brand displays drawing inspiration from the single malt’s maritime heritage. Coastal imagery and deep-blue hues evoke the rugged northern shores of Wick, Scotland.

As a special offer throughout May, travellers purchasing Old Pulteney 16 Year Old at Paris CDG will receive an exclusive Old Pulteney-branded Chilly’s Series 2 stainless steel bottle (500ml), valued at £32.

The promotions also include a digital tasting experience in collaboration with Avolta, offering travellers the chance to explore other International Beverage brands, such as Balblair Highland Scotch whisky and the handcrafted small-batch gin Caorunn.

Balblair’s single malt is known for its rich character and is crafted from what the company describes as the finest ingredients.

At Manchester Airport Terminal 2 and London Gatwick, travellers are invited to discover Balblair through dedicated tasting bars featuring its 12, 15 and 17 Year Old travel retail expressions.

Caorunn will be featured at Glasgow Airport, where customers purchasing the Classic Gin will receive a complimentary apple-shaped ice mould, highlighting the brand’s distinctive red apple garnish.

International Beverage Head of Global Travel Retail Edith Ng said, “We’re very excited to bring some of our much-loved brands to life to those travelling through European airports this spring. The travel retail channel is hugely important to our business and our partnerships with Avolta and Lagardère are another example of our ongoing commitment to investing in the sector.

“We are confident that our in-store activations will really connect with travellers and give them the opportunity to try our premium spirits brands for themselves.”

Travellers can purchase Old Pulteney 10 and 13 Year Old in 1-litre bottles, while the 16 Year Old comes in a 70cl size, with prices ranging from £39.99 (US$53) to £82.99 (US$110).
