I was crying my eyes out, purely because I had no part to play in it whatsoever.” James spent nine years at the King Power Stadium after signing from Manchester United in 2012. Injuries limited him to just 117 appearances during that time, though, including 35 matches during their promotion-winning 2013/14 campaign. James joined the club in October after leaving Bristol City at the end of last season. He has since made 31 League One appearances, scoring twice and providing three assists. His performances also earned a contract extension just two months after joining, with James’ new deal running through to 2026.
