Antonio Fuoco led a Ferrari 1-2 in the opening Free Practice session ahead of the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

The Italian steered the No. 50 Ferrari 499P to a best time of 2:02.835, outpacing the yellow-liveried No. 83 car in the hands of Robert Kubica by 0.222 seconds.

Mick Schumacher put in a late flyer to put the No. 36 Alpine A424 third, with Peugeot making up the remainder of the overall top five.

The No. 93 9X8, which ran as high as second courtesy of Paul di Resta, ended the session fourth ahead of Malthe Jakobsen in the sister No. 94 machine.

Raffaele Marciello picked up sixth in the No. 15 BMW M Hybrid V8 ahead of the No. 12 Cadillac V-Series.R driven by Will Stevens.

Stevens and Hertz Team JOTA return to Spa one year after they claimed a breakthrough victory with their customer Porsche 963, having since switched brands to become a Cadillac factory outfit over the winter.

Alessandro Pier Guidi and Brendon Hartley were eighth and ninth for Ferrari and Toyota, respectively, while the No. 6 Porsche Penske 963 rounded out the overall top ten.

Finn Gehrsitz put Akkodis ASP Team atop the timesheets in LMGT3, putting in a time of 2:18.432 aboard the No. 78 Lexus RC F GT3.

Alessio Rovera was 0.096 seconds back in the No. 21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3, with the second Lexus third driven by Jose Maria Lopez.

Green flag running was interrupted by a pair of Full Course Yellows, each for a Hypercar driver becoming stranded in the gravel.

Alpine’s Paul-Loup Chatin was the first to do so at Les Combes with 40 minutes remaining, while Sebastien Bourdais’s No. 38 Cadillac went off at Campus some 15 minutes later.

The second Free Practice session is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CEST (10:30 a.m. EST).
