‘Forget this man’ – Deion Sanders’ son clears up heated viral confrontation between Colorado coach and NFL scout
Colorado’s Pro Day was always going to be spectacle. It featured two of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy-winning two-way star Travis Hunter. Hunter and Sanders, two projected top draft picks, were on show at Colorado’s Pro DayGetty Add to that the presence of Buffaloes head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, and the event was always going to be must-see. While the attention was mostly focused on this year’s draft class, Sanders did take a moment to remind at least one NFL scout exactly who runs the show down in Boulder. A video posted on social media late on Friday appeared to show ‘Coach Prime’ getting frustrated with something the scout said to his players as they lined up for a drill behind a white line. Sanders marched over to the group, who were standing where they had been told, and promptly gave them some stern instructions. “Y’all start how y’all want to start,” he said, suggesting they could position themselves on the line instead. “Forget this man here. Do y’all thing. Do what you all do.” The footage soon went viral, picking up millions of views across TikTok and X. While a first glance at the video might have Sanders coming off brash, his actions were later clarified by his oldest son, Deion Sanders Jr. “He was talking about u can’t use the white line but u can… u can take up all the white line as u want,” Sanders Jr. commented, likely referencing the starting position of the players. While ‘Coach Prime’ was offering out some late Pro Day advice, it’s clear he has plenty of faith in his Colorado stars, as he once again suggested that Shedeur and Hunter should be the first two picks of this year’s draft.
