Final Trailer: “John Wick” Spin-Off “Ballerina”

Lionsgate has premiered the final trailer for the female-driven “John Wick” spin-off feature “Ballerina” with tickets now on sale.

Ana de Armas stars as a young female assassin named Eve Macarro who is trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma and seeks revenge against the people who killed her family.

Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, the late Lance Reddick, David Castaneda, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves co-star.

The film was delayed almost a year to accommodate the filming of additional action sequences and reshoots, with franchise steerer Chad Stahelski helping guide those sequences alongside the film’s director, Len Wiseman.

The new trailer strikes a different tone than the previous ones, going for a more serious overall feeling than not just the trailers but the more recent mainline entries – going back to something that seems more akin to the first “John Wick” film despite entirely different storylines.

“From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” will open in cinemas on June 6th.
