Million Dollar Secret, the new competition series from Netflix, is now available on the streaming platform and, in just a few hours, it managed to captivate the audience with its first episodes. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s what it’s about and everything you need to know.
What is Million Dollar Secret about?
Twelve strangers arrive at a luxurious mansion by a lake, where each finds an enigmatic gift in their room: a box. Eleven of these boxes are empty, but one contains one million dollars, intended for the one who finds it, with the condition of not revealing they have the prize.
In each episode, the millionaire will be assigned a secret mission that they can complete to earn advantages in the game. Meanwhile, the other participants will engage in various daily activities designed for the guests, which will provide strategic opportunities to discover the millionaire.
During the nightly dinners, they will attempt to identify and eliminate the right person. Every time a millionaire is eliminated, the money is transferred to another player. If you strike too soon, you could become the target, but if you miss the opportunity, you’ll lose your chance to win the prize. If the millionaire receives too many suspicions, they can choose to get rid of the money and gain one more day in the competition.

It won’t be that easy, as throughout the game alliances between participants may form, making the competition even tougher, with betrayals included that will keep players always on the lookout to avoid allying with the enemy.
“This game is about lying and deceiving people, gaining their trust, and pretending to be friends. The participants are in a crazy situation. They wake up and are in this game 24/7. The emotions and the tension… it’s all real. Everyone tries to stay calm, but some just can’t handle the pressure,” said Peter Serafinowicz, the host of the show.
How many episodes will Million Dollar Secret have?
This fierce high-risk strategy competition will consist of eight episodes. The series premiered on March 26, and only three episodes have been released so far.

Who is Peter Serafinowicz?
Peter Serafinowicz will be the host of the show. The actor and comedian was born on July 10, 1972, in England and is known for providing the voice of Sith Lord Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
He also made several appearances in the British comedy Spaced and participated in other productions of the same genre, such as Shaun of the Dead. The actor is married to actress Sarah Alexander, with whom he has a son named Sam and a daughter named Phoebe.
