Embraer promotes Startup Marathon during Web Summit Rio 2025

SAO JOSE DOS CAMPOS, BRAZIL – Embraer, a global leader in the aerospace industry, will hold the Startup Marathon during the Web Summit Rio 2025. The initiative, which will take place between April 27 and 30 at Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro, seeks to promote innovation with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning and other technologies in aviation.

“Innovation is a strategic pillar at Embraer. Participating in an event like this, as well as holding our Marathon within the Web Summit, reinforces this objective through partnerships with startups whose challenge is to offer innovative technologies and potential disruption,” says Leonardo Garnica, Embraer’s corporate innovation leader.

To participate, startups must fill out an application form by March 14 and meet the selection criteria of both the Web Summit and Embraer. After a preliminary selection, calls to participate in the Marathon will be sent by e-mail April 9.

“We invite all the startups that will be taking part in the Web Summit to sign up for our Marathon and visit our stand during the event so that we can identify opportunities to cooperate,” says Garnica.
