Day 1149 : Stay Up
liner notes: Saturday : So before heading to the station, I decided to try reapply the magnetic strips to the panels for the printer enclosure. The first time I did it, I just used the adhesive on the back of the magnets and it was definitely not strong enough because they all fell down. This time, I probably went overboard and bought some rubber cement to make sure they stay up! haha I wasn't able to get all the panels done because the first couple I did and put up on the enclosure fell down. That's when I realized, I should really let them cure fully before putting them up. So I got as many as I could get done and put them on the floor with some weight on top. By the time I made it to the station, I had like an hour left before the show started. Normally, not a problem, but there must have been a prom or something because there were so many people on campus and no parking spaces. I had to park off campus. Luckily, I made it in time to setup and do the show. That was a close one! haha The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com Sunday : During the study sessions over at https://untilit.works, I finished the rest of the panels and set them to dry. Did all my other normal tasks. I spent a bunch of time trying to get the large format 3D printer to get past the calibration stage. I tried all the suggestions in the forum, nothing worked. I sent the logs requested by the support team and waited to hear back. Really need to get this things working soon. Professional : Today was a pretty normal Monday. Had a meeting with my manager to let them know what I've worked on and what I'll be working on this week. So, I worked on that and responded to some community questions. Pretty chill day. Personal : This printer needs to start printing properly. I heard back from the technical support and they said a default setting was changed or something and I needed to download a program to set it. Had so many issues trying to get this program to work and at the moment it still doesn't. I ordered a cable that should be arriving any minute now and hopefully that will allow me to connect the printer to this program so I can go ahead and set this default value and run another test print. Focus of tonight is to try and get this program to connect to the printer so I can set the default value and try to print the calibration file again. While that's happening, going to try and see how much set up of this other printer I can get accomplished. Got a notification that the vinyl has been shipped and should be coming in this week.
