Drop will be available to own or rent on digital platforms tomorrow, April 29, before arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on June 10 via Universal.

Meghann Fahy (“The White Lotus”) and Brandon Sklenar (“1932”) star in the thriller from Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes.

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) directs from a script by Jillian Jacobs & Christopher Roach (Truth or Dare, Fantasy Island).

Special Features:

  • Audio Commentary by Director Christopher Landon
  • A Recipe For Thrills: Making Drop – The cast and crew sort through the ingredients of this date gone wrong
  • A Palate for Panic – Devour the details that went into creating Palate, a film set that doubles as a fully operational restaurant
  • Killer Chemistry – Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar discuss keeping their characters grounded throughout the escalation of events

Violet is a widowed mother who has worked up the courage to go on her first date in years with a charming photographer named Henry. The cute couple’s killer chemistry is rudely interrupted by a series of anonymous drops to Violet’s phone showing a masked intruder entering her home and ordering her to follow a series of instructions.

Violet must do exactly as she’s told or her loved ones will die. Her unseen tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry.

Violett Beane (“The Flash”), Jeffery Self (“Search Party”), and Jacob Robinson round out the cast.

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “Drop is a swift, fun thriller that’s impeccably crafted right down to the production design, featuring a cast that seems to be having as much fun as Landon is flexing his creative muscles while paying tribute to the greats.”
